Birthday flowers in Jackson

Weekday birthday volume in Jackson is government volume and hospital volume, in that order, and both clusters sit within a few blocks of one street. The Mississippi State Capitol at 400 High Street, the Walter Sillers Building, the Woolfolk Building on North West Street and the Mississippi Department of Transportation offices put thousands of state employees inside 39201, along with the Thad Cochran United States Courthouse at 501 East Court Street and the Mississippi College School of Law block on East Griffith. The private downtown towers stack on Capitol Street: Trustmark National Bank's headquarters at 248 East Capitol, Regions Plaza at 210 East Capitol, One Jackson Place at 188 East Capitol, Capital Towers on South Congress, and Entergy Mississippi a short walk away on East Pearl Street. North State Street is the medical spine — the University of Mississippi Medical Center at 2500 North State in 39216 is Mississippi's only academic medical center and one of the largest single employers in the state, with Baptist Medical Center at 1225 North State, St. Dominic Hospital on Lakeland Drive, the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center on East Woodrow Wilson and Merit Health Central on Chadwick Drive in south Jackson filling out the row. The suburban white-collar payroll runs up Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland — Butler Snow, C Spire and BankPlus all headquartered on that stretch — with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi on Lakeland Drive in Flowood, the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation on Ridgewood Road, the Nissan assembly plant in Canton and the Continental Tire plant in Clinton on the outer ring. One practical note for all of it: state office buildings and hospital towers route by department, not by first name. Put the recipient's full name, building and floor or unit in the gift note, and the security desk will find them.
