Can you deliver to a downtown Columbia apartment building?
+
Yes, but the door is the variable. The buildings along Ninth, Locust, Elm and Walnut in The District run controlled lobbies with call boxes, and a vase will not fit the parcel hatch that swallows everyone's cardboard boxes. Three things make it work: the apartment number, the recipient's mobile number, and either a leasing-office window during business hours or an agreed time when someone is home. East Campus rentals need the apartment letter — a single 1910 house there often has three mailboxes and two side doors — and if nobody will be home at all, send it to their workplace or to a hall desk instead of a porch.
Can you deliver flowers to a Mizzou residence hall or a chapter house?
+
Both, constantly. Residence halls receive at a staffed front desk and never release to a room, so the order has to carry the building plus a phone the recipient actually answers; the desk texts them to come down. Chapter houses on Richmond Avenue and Rollins Street are easier — someone is in the front room most hours — but a delivery there is a public event with sixty witnesses, which some recipients love and others would rather avoid. If your person is the second kind, send to their workplace or their apartment. Campus is minutes from the Providence Road shop either way.
I'm proposing at the Columns. What should I do about flowers?
+
Have them waiting somewhere else. The Columns on Francis Quadrangle — the six brick columns left standing when the old university building burned in 1892 — is the proposal spot in Columbia, and it is a five-minute walk from our florist, but carrying a bouquet across the Quad telegraphs the whole thing and gives you something to hold when your hands are already busy. Better: flowers delivered to the apartment, the house, or a hotel front desk for afterwards. The same applies to Shelter Gardens on West Broadway, the MKT Trail out of Flat Branch Park, Rock Bridge Memorial State Park down Route 163, and Eagle Bluffs out past McBaine.
How much do romantic flowers cost in Columbia?
+
The listed arrangements in this selection start at $58.44. Delivery charges, taxes and optional extras are confirmed for the selected florist and recipient before payment.
Can you deliver romantic flowers to a Columbia hotel room?
+
Yes. The Tiger Hotel at 23 S Eighth Street, the 1928 building under the neon sign in The District, holds deliveries at a front desk small enough to actually know which room they belong to. The Broadway on East Broadway does the same with more volume, and the Stoney Creek Hotel on South Providence and the hotels along the I-70 exits handle weekend overflow. Spell the reservation name and the night of the stay into the order, because no front desk will sign for a name it cannot find in its system, and time it after the posted check-in hour so the arrangement goes into the room rather than sitting behind a desk all afternoon.
Does Mizzou's calendar affect romance deliveries?
+
More than anything else does. From late August to early May the romantic addresses are downtown apartments, East Campus rentals, chapter houses and residence halls; after commencement the city empties and the same orders go to houses south of Stadium and out toward Thornbrook and Vanderveen. Home football Saturdays are the one day to plan around: Stadium Boulevard, Providence Road and the Maryland and Tiger Avenue approaches stall for hours on either side of kickoff, so a campus-adjacent delivery needs a morning window. Finals week and move-out week both argue for a morning order too, or for skipping cut flowers if your person is about to get on a plane.
