Flowers for Yelm, WA

Yelm is prairie, and that fact shapes everything about sending flowers here. The town sits on the open Nisqually plain southeast of Olympia, where SR-507 and SR-510 cross and the old Prairie Line rail bed now runs as a trail through the middle of downtown. It grew fast on two things: the Yelm Highway commute west to the state-capital jobs, and Joint Base Lewis-McChord up the road, which put thousands of soldiers and their families into the subdivisions and the country lots around town.
