Flowers for Puyallup, WA

For most of the country the word Puyallup means one thing — the fair. "Do the Puyallup" has been the Northwest jingle for generations, and the Washington State Fairgrounds still set the town's calendar, packing downtown every September and again for the Spring Fair. But the valley is a flower place in its own right well before the Ferris wheel goes up: this is daffodil country, the fields that once supplied bulbs across the region, and spring here means color running from the riverbottom farms up to the South Hill ridge. The everyday orders follow that landscape — birthday and anniversary bouquets to the neighborhoods off Meridian, teacher-appreciation flowers to Pierce College Puyallup, get-well arrangements up to MultiCare Good Samaritan on the hospital hill, and sympathy pieces to the historic churches near Pioneer Park and the Meeker Mansion downtown.
