Which Tulsa-area funeral homes and cemeteries do you deliver to?
+
The metro chapel grid, including Floral Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery in Broken Arrow, the Moore Funeral Home chapels, Ninde Funeral Directors, Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Butler-Stumpff. On the cemetery side: Rose Hill Memorial Park on Admiral Place, Memorial Park Cemetery on the east side, Calvary Cemetery, Oaklawn Cemetery downtown at 11th and Peoria, and the Floral Haven memorial grounds in Broken Arrow. For a graveside delivery, we need the cemetery plus the section or the tent location — grounds crews will not search a property for a name, and an arrangement dropped at a cemetery office rarely reaches the committal in time.
Can you deliver sympathy flowers to a family home in Tulsa?
+
Yes, and it is frequently the better choice. A chapel arrangement is seen for two hours; a plant on a kitchen counter in Maple Ridge, Brookside, Florence Park, south Tulsa, Jenks, Bixby, Owasso or Sand Springs is there for months. Home delivery also avoids every chapel timing risk — no doors-open deadline, no director to coordinate with, no section number. Send it during the week after the service rather than the day of, when the household is empty of visitors. Include a phone number so the driver can knock rather than leave something on a porch in July heat or a January ice storm.
What information do you need to deliver to a service?
+
Four things. The funeral home or church name and its location — several Tulsa providers operate more than one chapel, so the specific location matters. The service date and start time, so the studio can back-time the delivery. The family surname the service is listed under, which is how a director locates the arrangement among a dozen others. And the type of placement you intend: a chapel piece, a graveside arrangement, or a home delivery. If you are unsure whether a service is at a chapel or a church, tell us and the studio will call the funeral home rather than guess.
Can you deliver a sympathy arrangement to a Tulsa hospital or hospice?
+
Yes. Palliative and hospice deliveries go to Saint Francis on South Yale, Hillcrest Medical Center and Ascension St. John facing each other on South Utica, OSU Medical Center on West Ninth downtown, and Hillcrest South and Saint Francis South on the south side, as well as to residential hospice houses in the metro. Intensive-care and oncology units restrict lilies, heavy fragrance and live potting soil, so ask for a lily-free, low-pollen build or route the delivery to the family waiting area instead. Always include the patient's full name and unit; hospitals will not search a census by first name.
Does the arrangement hold up at an outdoor graveside in Oklahoma?
+
Only if it is built for it. A committal at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Memorial Park, Calvary or Floral Haven in July or August means an hour of direct Oklahoma sun and wind on stems that were cut yesterday, and delicate spring flowers will not make it through. Tell the studio the arrangement is going graveside and it will build with hardier material, a heavier base that will not tip in wind, and a water source sized for the heat. In an ice-storm week the opposite problem applies — services move, and we would rather re-time a delivery than leave it at a locked chapel.
I live out of state. Can I still send sympathy flowers to Tulsa?
+
Yes, and it is one of the most common sympathy orders we handle. Order from anywhere, give us the Tulsa-area chapel or home address, and the nearest shop on the 74103 grid takes the arrangement. You receive delivery confirmation by email. Write the card as if you will not be in the room, because you will not be: sign your full name and how you knew the person, not just a first name. A grieving family reads several dozen cards in a week and will be trying to place each one. Our studios hand-write the card at no charge.
