Flowers for Bellevue, WA

Bellevue reads as two towns stacked on one map. There is the glass core — the Bellevue Collection, the office towers off NE 8th and 108th, the Amazon and Microsoft floors that pull thousands of workers across the 520 and 90 bridges each morning — and there is everything east and south of it: the Somerset switchbacks, Newport Hills, Factoria, and the long quiet streets of Lake Hills and Crossroads. A florist covering Bellevue has to work both. Morning brings congratulations arrangements to the downtown high-rises and welcome bouquets to new hires in the Spring District; afternoons run get-well pieces up 116th to Overlake Medical Center and birthday hand-ties out to the hillside cul-de-sacs where the addresses hide behind cedar hedges. Meydenbauer Bay and the Bellevue Botanical Garden add their own steady thread of wedding and event work.
