Office drops are the Bellevue birthday specialty, and the downtown core makes them easy to get right and easy to get wrong. The tower belt runs a few blocks deep: PACCAR Inc at 777 106th Ave NE, Symetra at 777 108th Ave NE, Puget Sound Energy at 355 110th Ave NE, SAP Concur and The Pokémon Company International on 108th, Smartsheet at 10500 NE 8th St, Valve at 10400 NE 4th St, Bungie on 106th, and Amazon's Bellevue office towers stacked around NE 8th and 106th. South of I-90 in Factoria, the T-Mobile US headquarters campus on SE 38th Street runs its own lobby and mailroom protocol. Northeast of downtown, Meta's buildings in the Spring District and the Global Innovation Exchange sit on the 2 Line light rail spine through BelRed, and across the water at the Redmond and Kirkland campuses — Microsoft on One Microsoft Way, Nintendo of America on 150th Ave NE, Google's Kirkland campus — the same rules apply. Two practical notes. Almost every one of these buildings stops a courier at a lobby desk or a loading dock, so give the studio the recipient's full name, floor, and a mobile number, and expect the hand-off to be desk-to-recipient rather than door-to-door. And the Eastside runs hybrid: a Friday desk drop to somebody who works from home on Fridays is a bouquet spending the weekend at a security counter. If you are not certain which days they are in, send it to the house.
Residential routes are the larger half of the volume and they divide by grade. Downtown and West Bellevue high-rises and mid-rises in 98004 go through a front desk or a package room — concierge buildings will accept and hold, but nobody will carry flowers to a unit without a resident's say-so, so a phone number matters more than an apartment number. 98005 (Bridle Trails, Sherwood Forest, the Bel-Red edge), 98007 (Crossroads, Lake Hills, the Bellevue College ring on Landerholm Circle SE) and 98008 (Lake Hills east, Phantom Lake) are the classic porch-delivery grid: single-family, driveway access, nobody home until evening. 98006 covers Factoria, Somerset, Newport Hills, Lakemont and the Cougar Mountain climb, where long private driveways and steep switchbacks add real minutes to a route. The estate addresses west of downtown — Medina 98039, Clyde Hill, Hunts Point, Yarrow Point and Beaux Arts Village — are gate-and-intercom deliveries where a signature request is normal. Beyond city limits the same routes reach Mercer Island 98040, Kirkland 98033 and 98034, Redmond 98052, Sammamish 98074 and 98075, Newcastle, Issaquah 98027 and 98029. One seasonal Bellevue reality: from October into May it rains, and a birthday bouquet left on an uncovered porch in a Puget Sound downpour is a sad object by evening. Ask for a covered-porch or side-door note, or schedule for a window when somebody is home.
