Flowers for St. Joseph, MN

Daisyaday Floral gets a certain order every fall — a parent three states away sending a first-week bouquet to a daughter who just moved into a residence hall at the College of St. Benedict. That order tells you most of what you need to know about flower delivery in St. Joseph: it is a college town first, a Stearns County farm town second, and the two live comfortably a few blocks apart. Downtown is a short, walkable spine of brick storefronts along College Avenue and Minnesota Street; the Benedictine campus and its monastery grounds anchor the west side; and the county roads run out past dairy operations toward Avon and Cold Spring. A local designer here knows the dorm mail-room rules, which farmhouse driveways are hard to find after dark, and that St. Cloud Hospital is a quick run east for get-well deliveries.
