Flowers for Springfield, OH

There is a reason Springfield calls itself the original Springfield: this Clark County seat grew up on the National Road, the country's first federally funded highway, at the point where Buck Creek meets the Mad River halfway between Dayton and Columbus. That heritage still shapes the map a florist reads. Deliveries fan out from the Wittenberg University campus and its Woodlawn Avenue residence halls on the north rise, through the downtown blocks around City Hall and Clark State College, past the Ridgewood streets and Snyder Park, and along the East Main Street corridor that traces old US-40 toward the edge of the county. Springfield Regional Medical Center on North Fountain keeps get-well and new-baby orders steady, while the Oakdale and Ferncliff cemeteries carry the sympathy work.
