Flowers for Pittsburgh, PA

Pittsburgh's flower map is defined by its geography — three rivers, 446 bridges, and steep hillsides that split the city into fiercely local neighborhoods and independent boroughs. The East End runs from Lawrenceville and Bloomfield through Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, and Point Breeze; Oakland holds the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon, and the UPMC Presbyterian, Montefiore, Magee-Womens, and Children's hospital cluster. Across the Monongahela the South Side flats and slopes climb to Mount Washington, and the South Hills spread out through Dormont, Mt. Lebanon, Castle Shannon, Whitehall, Bethel Park, and Upper St. Clair. Over the Allegheny sit the North Side — Allegheny General, PNC Park, Acrisure Stadium, the Mexican War Streets — and the North Hills communities of Ross, McCandless, and Wexford. The West End and the Ohio River corridor run out toward Crafton, McKees Rocks, and the airport. Sympathy work routes to the many Allegheny County funeral homes; get-well deliveries to the UPMC system, Allegheny General, and Magee-Womens fold into the daily route through the tunnels and bridges.
