Delivery details to prepare

Delivery destinations in Philadelphia.

The Pavilion, HUP and CHOP, Civic Center Boulevard

The busiest destination on this page and the one most often mis-addressed: the older HUP buildings face 3400 Spruce Street while most inpatients are in the Pavilion around the corner, and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is at 3401 Civic Center Boulevard across the street. Private rooms throughout the Pavilion make scent the patient's own business; the inpatient cancer service takes neither cut stems nor soil. Rosevelt Flower Philly and Overhill Flowers come down from the northwest.

Penn Presbyterian, 51 North 39th Street, and the Crescenz VA on Woodland Avenue

Penn's Level 1 trauma service is at Presbyterian, not at HUP, so a sudden admission from anywhere in West Philadelphia usually lands here — worth confirming before a delivery goes a mile the wrong way. The VA medical center on Woodland Avenue is a short distance south and runs federal-facility rules at the door, meaning identification and a longer wait at the desk. Didden Florist comes up Lindbergh Boulevard from Eastwick for both.

Jefferson, Pennsylvania Hospital, Wills Eye and Magee, Center City

Four buildings within about ten blocks and four different sending decisions. Jefferson at 111 South 11th Street is a full academic campus; Pennsylvania Hospital at 800 Spruce has been admitting since 1751 and turns its maternity floors over in roughly two days; Wills Eye on Walnut is mostly day surgery and the patient is often already home; Jefferson Moss-Magee on Race Street keeps people for weeks, the one case where a plant beats a bouquet.

Chestnut Hill Hospital, Holy Redeemer, Abington and Fox Chase

The shortest hospital drives in the network sit up here. Chestnut Hill Hospital at 8835 Germantown Avenue is under two miles from Rothe Florists on the same road; Holy Redeemer in Meadowbrook shares Huntingdon Pike and the 19046 ZIP with Blake Florist, and Abington on Old York Road is minutes past it. Fox Chase on Cottman Avenue is the exception — a cancer hospital where the restriction belongs to the building, so ask before ordering for a room.

Lankenau, Bryn Mawr, Riddle, Mercy Fitzgerald — and the two Delaware County buildings that closed

Lankenau at 100 East Lancaster Avenue in Wynnewood stands on the same avenue as Overhill Flowers about two miles east, with Bryn Mawr Hospital beyond it and Leary's Florist in Broomall closest from the south. Down in Delaware County the map shrank in 2025: Crozer-Chester in Upland and Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park both stopped admitting, leaving Riddle in Media and Mercy Fitzgerald in Darby. Ridleypark Florist, Ridleysrainbowof Flowers and Swarthmore Flower Shop cover that ground.

Discharge day, row houses and towers across 19103 and out

Where most get-well flowers in this city genuinely end up, since so much surgery now sends people home the same evening. No unit rules apply — but a Philadelphia row house has three marble steps, no porch and nowhere dry, the trinity houses off Society Hill courtyards have a stair no tall vase clears, and a Center City tower will put the box in a package room for the afternoon. Name the door, leave a mobile number, let the driver text.

FAQ

Philadelphia flower delivery FAQs.

The family said Penn. Which building is that, exactly?

Ask again, because Penn is four addresses in one neighborhood and they are not interchangeable. The older Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania buildings face 3400 Spruce Street; most inpatients are now in the Pavilion, the tower around the corner on Civic Center Boulevard. Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is at 3401 Civic Center Boulevard, directly opposite. Penn Presbyterian is a mile north at 51 North 39th Street and takes the trauma arrivals, so a sudden admission is often there rather than at HUP. Send the building, the patient's full name as admitting recorded it, and a unit if the family has one. A first name and the word Penn strands a delivery in a lobby.

Someone is at Fox Chase. Is that different from a regular hospital floor?

It is, in one structural way. Fox Chase on Cottman Avenue is a cancer hospital rather than a hospital with a cancer floor, so the restriction is the building's and not a corridor's — assume cut flowers and plants are out for the inpatient side and ask before ordering anything for a room. That is not a reason to send nothing. A card, a small unscented silk piece, or fresh flowers sent to the house so they are waiting after discharge all land. Blake Florist on Huntingdon Pike is the nearest shop to that corner of the Northeast, with Rothe Florists in Mount Airy next.

My relative is in Delaware County. Where do people actually go now?

Not where they used to. Crozer Health closed in 2025, which ended Crozer-Chester in Upland and Taylor Hospital on East Chester Pike in Ridley Park, and Delaware County Memorial and Springfield had already gone before that. Families in Ridley, Woodlyn and Swarthmore still name those buildings from habit. What remains inside this radius is Riddle Hospital on West Baltimore Pike in Media and Mercy Fitzgerald on Lansdowne Avenue in Darby, with the rest of the county's patients routed into the city. Ridleypark Florist, Ridleysrainbowof Flowers and Swarthmore Flower Shop all cover that ground — just confirm the building first.

Why does the 2:00 PM cutoff bite harder in this city than the flowers do?

Same-day options depend on the delivery ZIP, requested date, florist availability and that florist's local cutoff. Check the available options before paying; a city listing does not guarantee delivery today.

Wills Eye, Magee rehab, a two-day maternity stay — do short and long stays need different sending?

They need opposite sending. Wills Eye on Walnut Street runs largely on day surgery, and a bouquet sent there frequently arrives after the patient has gone home, so send it to the house instead. Maternity at Pennsylvania Hospital on Spruce turns over in about two days, which means flowers ordered on day two chase somebody down the front steps — send on day one or send home. Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation on Race Street is the reverse case: stays there run into weeks and the room becomes somebody's temporary address, so a living plant is still going when the third bouquet would have been thrown out.

They were discharged and are recovering at home. What changes?

Everything except the door. No unit rules apply, so send the scented, generous, lily-heavy thing they actually like. The obstacle is Philadelphia's own architecture: a row house opens straight onto the sidewalk over three marble steps with no porch and nowhere dry to leave anything, and the trinity houses off the Society Hill and Queen Village courtyards have a winding stair that a tall vase will not survive. Center City towers put deliveries in a package room, where flowers keep badly for eight hours. Leave a mobile number, say which door is in use, and have the driver text on arrival rather than gamble on a bell.
