Flowers for Millis, MA

Millis is the kind of town where most flower orders are personal rather than institutional — a birthday for someone on Exchange Street, a sympathy piece for a neighbor, an anniversary for a couple who have lived off Curve Street for decades. It is a small, mostly residential Norfolk County town wrapped around Route 109 as it runs between Medfield and Norfolk, with the Charles River bending along its northern edge and Oak Grove Farm, Rocky Woods, and the state forest filling the green space at the margins. The old Clicquot Club soda bottling works gave the Clicquot neighborhood its name; today the village center around Main Street and the schools and playing fields carry the daily rhythm. There is no hospital in town and no campus, so the delivery day is quieter and more spread out than a city run, which is exactly why a local, neighborhood-scale florist matters here.
