About Long Branch anniversary

How Long Branch sends anniversary flowers.

This city has been hosting anniversaries, in one form or another, for more than a century and a half. Long Branch was the first great American seaside resort, and between the 1860s and the First World War seven presidents — Grant, Hayes, Garfield, Arthur, Harrison, McKinley and Wilson — spent parts of their summers on the bluff here. The little shingled Church of the Presidents still stands on Ocean Avenue in Elberon, the last building left of the world they came for, and Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park carries the same count in its name. None of that has anything to do with flowers, and all of it explains why the anniversary map of this city is the shape it is: a strip of oceanfront built for people marking something, a restaurant row that faces the water, and a hinterland of houses whose owners got married two miles away. The venues at the front of that map are Ocean Place Resort and Spa on Ocean Boulevard, the largest oceanfront hotel in the city and the one most likely to be holding a couple who came back for the weekend; Wave Resort and the Bungalow Hotel in Pier Village, the newer beachfront quarter on Ocean Avenue; and, eight miles north over the Navesink at Red Bank, the Oyster Point Hotel and the Molly Pitcher Inn, which absorb a lot of Monmouth County anniversary nights that do not want the beach. The restaurant deliveries cluster in the same few blocks: Avenue and McLoone's Pier House at Pier Village, Rooney's Oceanfront and Sirena further along Ocean Avenue, and the West End places off Brighton Avenue for couples who would rather eat where the locals do than where the view is.

Delivery details to prepare

Delivery destinations in Long Branch.

Ocean Place Resort and Spa, Ocean Boulevard

The largest oceanfront hotel in the city and the most common anniversary room drop on this page. The desk signs for deliveries and will usually place an arrangement once the room is made up. Reservation name, check-in date and a mobile number in the order; on a summer Saturday send it in the morning and let the desk hold it.

Wave Resort and the Bungalow Hotel, Pier Village

The newer beachfront quarter on Ocean Avenue, where the hotels, the restaurants and the promenade are all inside a few blocks. Convenient for a couple staying the weekend and awkward for a van in July, when the surrounding streets fill. Morning delivery, desk handoff, and the recipient's mobile so they know something is waiting.

Avenue and McLoone's Pier House, Pier Village

Table arrangements want to arrive in the quiet hour between lunch and dinner service, not during it. Call the restaurant yourself with the reservation name and time first, then repeat both in the order. Keep the build low — a tall arrangement on a two-top gets moved before the first course.

Rooney's Oceanfront, Sirena and the West End tables

Further along Ocean Avenue and inland around Brighton Avenue, where couples who live here tend to eat rather than where the view is. Same rule: afternoon delivery, reservation name, low vessel. Flowers Byvanbrunt on Second Avenue is minutes from all of them, which makes a same-day table drop realistic if the order is in by midday.

Elberon and the Ocean Avenue bluff

The old resort end of the city, where the Church of the Presidents still stands and the lots run deep behind hedges. Gates, long driveways and numbers you cannot read from the road make this the hardest residential delivery in Long Branch. Gate code, a mobile for someone on the property, and a morning window wherever possible.

The Broadway grid, the West End and West Long Branch

Where most Long Branch anniversaries are actually marked: houses two miles from where the couple married, close-packed streets with porches and shared front doors, and the suburban blocks west of the line around Monmouth University. A unit letter and a mobile number resolve nearly every missed delivery on this side of the city.

FAQ

Long Branch flower delivery FAQs.

Can you put flowers in the room before we check in?

Usually yes, with one call's notice. Ocean Place Resort and Spa on Ocean Boulevard, Wave Resort and the Bungalow Hotel at Pier Village, and the Molly Pitcher Inn and Oyster Point up in Red Bank all take deliveries at a front desk, and most will place an arrangement in a room once the booking is confirmed and housekeeping has finished it. What we cannot do is guarantee it, because it is their policy rather than ours. Put the reservation name, the check-in date and a mobile number in the order. If the hotel will not place it, the desk holds it and calls the room, which still works.

We are having dinner on Ocean Avenue. Can flowers be on the table?

Yes, and the way to do it is to deliver in the afternoon rather than at dinner time. Restaurants along the Pier Village stretch and further down Ocean Avenue are calm between lunch and service and chaotic afterwards, so an arrangement that arrives at four is placed properly and one that arrives at seven gets put behind the host stand. Call the restaurant yourself first, give them the reservation name and time, then put the same details in the order. A compact low arrangement is the right build — anything tall gets moved so the two of you can see each other.

Can you deliver to a house in Elberon or the West End?

Yes, and the two ends of the city behave very differently. The West End, around Brighton Avenue, and the grid running off Broadway are close-packed streets with porches and shared entrances — a unit letter and a mobile number prevent almost every failed delivery. Elberon at the south end is the older estate side: hedged frontages, long driveways, gates that will not open for a van, and numbers that are hard to see from the road. If the address is down there, leave a gate code if there is one, a mobile for someone actually at the property, and ask for a morning window.

Our anniversary is in July. Does the shore season change anything?

It changes the clock, not the coverage. From late June the beachfront blocks fill, Ocean Avenue queues in both directions on a warm Saturday, and the northern approach along Route 36 through Sea Bright and Monmouth Beach becomes the slowest road on this map. A delivery that takes twenty minutes in March can take an hour in August. The fix is simple: order in the morning, or order the day before and ask for an early slot. Hotel deliveries are the most forgiving, because a front desk will hold an arrangement all day, and the couple collects it whenever they come back off the beach.

Can you reach the Red Bank hotels and the Navesink side?

Yes. The Oyster Point Hotel and the Molly Pitcher Inn both stand over the Navesink at Red Bank, about eight miles north of the Long Branch centroid and well inside the radius, and they take a lot of Monmouth County anniversary nights from couples who want a river rather than a beach. Boxwood Garden Florist on River Road in Fair Haven and Koch Florist on Highway 35 in Middletown are the nearest of the 14 to that side. Give the hotel name, the reservation name and the arrival date. As with the oceanfront properties, the desk will hold the arrangement if the room is not ready.
