Flowers for Lexington, VA

Two colleges give Lexington its shape. The Virginia Military Institute's stern gray barracks and parade ground sit on one edge of downtown; the white colonnade of Washington & Lee runs along another; between them, a compact 19th-century Main Street of brick storefronts stays busy year-round.
