Birthday flowers in Latham

A Latham birthday order is usually one of four things, and saying which in the notes changes what gets built. There is the milestone — a fortieth, a sixtieth, a ninetieth — where the arrangement will end up on a table next to a cake and in every photograph taken that evening, which argues for height and colour rather than the least expensive build in the band. There is the child's birthday, where the flowers are really for a parent and the practical obstacle is a house containing eleven eight-year-olds at four in the afternoon. There is the office birthday, whose entire purpose is that other people see it, which argues for late morning and for getting the suite number right. And there is the long-distance birthday, which is what this page mostly exists for: a son in Denver, a sister in Charlotte, a father who has been in the same Colonie split-level since 1974 and will not accept that a phone call covers it. The regional calendar then bends around three fixed points. Mid-May into June is graduation season — Shaker High on Watervliet Shaker Road, Siena in Loudonville, Hudson Valley Community College and RPI across the river, Union out in Schenectady — and the designers building commencement work are the same people building your bouquet, which makes a June Saturday the thinnest day of the spring. Late November loads the airport in Colonie with holiday traffic and takes the surrounding roads down with it. From January through March the weather simply is the schedule: an ice morning shuts the Route 7 and Northway approaches to the Circle long before it shuts a cooler, and drivers will phone rather than commit to a run they cannot finish. None of that calls for a different order. It calls for ordering at nine in the morning rather than at ten to two, which is the one instruction on this page that changes the most outcomes.
