We are driving to the Keys for our anniversary. When should the flowers arrive?
+
Before you leave, not after you get back. The most successful version of this order in Homestead is a delivery the evening before the drive, so the arrangement is in the house when the bags are being packed, or a morning delivery to the hotel desk in Florida City if you are overnighting there before an early boat. Flowers sent to a house that will be empty for three days in a South Florida summer will not survive the trip. If the anniversary itself falls while you are down in Key Largo or Islamorada, send to the mainland hotel with the registered guest name and check-in date and ask the desk to hold it.
Can you deliver to a hotel room in Homestead or Florida City?
+
Yes, and it is a common order here because of where this city sits. The chain hotels clustered where the Turnpike extension meets US-1 in Florida City, including the Best Western Gateway to the Keys, are the last mainland beds before the island chain, and the historic Hotel Redland in downtown Homestead is the in-town option for a couple who would rather stay. For any room delivery we need the property, the name the booking sits under and the night of arrival. If the couple will be out on the water or at a park most of the day, ask us to leave it with the front desk rather than attempting the room.
What does an anniversary arrangement cost in Homestead?

The listed arrangements in this selection start at $129.99. Delivery charges, taxes and optional extras are confirmed for the selected florist and recipient before payment.
Can you get an arrangement into Keys Gate without spoiling the surprise?
+
Partly, and it is worth knowing the failure mode in advance. Keys Gate in 33035 is a guarded community, and guardhouses commonly ring the house to announce a delivery, so the recipient learns something is coming before it reaches the door. If the surprise is the point, three tactics work: have the flowers delivered to a neighbor who is in on it, have them delivered to the recipient's workplace earlier in the day, or arrange gate authorization yourself so the driver goes straight through. Give us the guard gate, the callbox name and the unit in every case — inside Keys Gate the loops double back on the same street names and phone mapping is unreliable.
Is Schnebly Redland's Winery a place you can deliver flowers to?
+
It is a real anniversary destination in this city — tropical-fruit wines out of the surrounding Redland groves, the coral-rock courtyard, Miami Brewing on the same property on SW 217th Avenue — and couples do mark milestone years there, sometimes on the ground where they married. But a working winery and tasting room is a poor delivery target for a surprise arrangement mid-visit, and saying so up front beats taking the order and hoping. Send the flowers to the house for the morning of, or for the evening they come home, and let the winery be the evening itself. If you want something waiting there, arrange it with the venue directly.
Both of us work. Should it go to a home or a workplace?
+
It depends which workplace, and Homestead has an unusual split. Homestead Hospital on Baptist Way, the Miami Dade College campus over on College Terrace, the school front offices and the Redland packing houses all take deliveries normally, and a bouquet on a desk at eleven in the morning gives the recipient the whole day with it. But two of the city's biggest worksites cannot: FPL's Turkey Point station beyond Palm Drive and the reserve base on the east flank are access-controlled, and a commercial delivery clears neither perimeter. If your spouse works at either, the house is the only option, and evening is the right window anyway.
How do deliveries work out in the Redland?
+
They work, with more information than a city address needs. West of Krome Avenue the parcels run five and ten acres — avocado, mango, mamey, lychee, longan, plus palm and ornamental nurseries — and the mailbox at the road can sit a quarter mile from the front door, with an unpaved drive, a gate of uncertain status and a dog in between. Note a cell number for the recipient or anybody on the property, the nearest cross street, and whether the driver should come up the track or stop at the gate. If nobody will be home during the day, an evening delivery window is worth requesting rather than hoping.
Does the Homestead heat affect an anniversary delivery?
+
Enough to change how you write the notes. June through September, an arrangement standing on an open concrete stoop or a west-facing doorstep at two in the afternoon loses its good looks within the hour, and the daily inland thunderstorm line coming off the Everglades between roughly three and five adds a second hazard. The fix is specific and free: name the shade. A carport's shaded flank, the far side of a screen door, a covered breezeway, a neighbor who is in. Or choose the living plant, which handles the climate without complaint. Winter and spring, roughly November through April, are forgiving enough that none of this matters much.
