Which funeral homes, churches and cemeteries do you deliver to?
+
All of them inside the 18-mile working radius, which covers the city, Flour Bluff and the island, Calallen and Annaville, Robstown and Portland. We do not keep a gatekeeper list — you name the chapel, the parish or the cemetery and the bench takes it. Two addresses with their own mechanics: Seaside Memorial Park on Ocean Drive, where a grave delivery needs the section and space number from the cemetery office, and the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery off the I-37 access road, where committal services run in scheduled slots and the cemetery office sets what may be placed at a grave. For a rural family plot toward Bishop, Agua Dulce or Alice, ask us first — that may sit past the radius.
Should I send flowers to the chapel or to the family's house?
+
Both work, and they do different jobs. A chapel piece is seen by everyone at the visitation and the Mass, and it is how the wider circle shows up — make sure your full name is on the card, because families read the cards afterward in a stack. A house piece is for the weeks. The rosary at a family home draws food and flowers for days, and a plant or a sturdy vased arrangement is still there in a month when the visitors have stopped. If the obituary asks for donations in lieu of flowers, follow that, then send something to the house a week or ten days later.
The graveside is outdoors on the bay. Does that change the arrangement?
+
It changes it more than most people expect. Corpus Christi is one of the windiest cities in the country, and a committal at a bayfront cemetery like Seaside Memorial Park on Ocean Drive is fully exposed — a tall vase or a top-heavy easel piece will go over on the grass. Our designers build low and anchored for those services, and they choose material that holds in heat and salt air: chrysanthemum, carnation, gladiolus, lisianthus, and roses cleaned back to their firm outer petals. For a summer morning service, compact and well-watered beats large every time. Ask for a graveside build and they will know exactly what you mean.
Can the card and ribbon be in Spanish?
+
Yes, and it is routine here rather than a special request. Descanse en Paz, Con Cariño, De Tus Nietos, De Tu Familia, Siempre en Nuestros Corazones — write it in the message field exactly as you want it to read, accents included, and it goes on the card or the ribbon at no charge. If you are sending on behalf of a group, put the group on the ribbon: a chapel full of relatives cannot otherwise tell who the twenty coworkers who signed one card were. Our benches also handle bilingual cards, with the Spanish line on the ribbon and the English note inside.
It is a veterans cemetery service. Anything I should know?
+
The Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery off the I-37 access road runs military committal services in scheduled slots, so flowers should be delivered before the family's slot, not during it. The cemetery office is the authority on what may be placed at a grave, how long it remains and whether a glass container is allowed — call them, then order to what they tell you. Red, white and blue palettes are a common request and easy to build inside this price band. If the family is holding a separate church Mass before the committal, tell us both addresses and we will advise which one the single arrangement should go to.
I am out of state and do not know the city at all. How does this work?
+
You do not need to know it. Enter the chapel, church, cemetery or house address, and the order routes to the closest bench: Castro's Flowers on Horne Road for downtown and the west side, Blossoms Hoptx on South Staples, Alwaysin Bloom Florist on Everhart or Corpu's Flowers on South Padre Island Drive for the Southside and the Ocean Drive corridor, and Beachn Blooms for Flour Bluff, 78418 and the island. Confirmation comes to your email when it is delivered. The hand-written card is free, and a phone number for a family member is the single most useful thing you can add.
