Flowers for Conway, AR

Start with the calendar, because in Conway that is what drives the flowers. Three colleges share the town — the University of Central Arkansas off Bruce Street, Hendrix College on Washington Avenue, and Central Baptist College on the north side — so the year runs on move-in weekends, recital nights at Reynolds Performance Hall, and two graduation seasons that fill every hall on the map. Between the campuses, downtown holds its own rhythm around Oak Street and the shops along Front, while Dave Ward Drive carries the daytime crowd out to the offices, the medical park, and Conway Regional Medical Center on College Avenue. A delivery route here means threading student rentals near campus, the older neighborhoods off Prince Street, and the newer builds stretching toward Salem Road and Lake Conway.
