Flowers for Chapel Hill, NC

Everything in Chapel Hill orbits the university. Two hundred years of it — the Old Well, the quads, the bell tower — set the town's rhythm, and the flower orders follow suit: congratulations wired in for a UNC student by a parent three states away, a get-well vase bound for a room off Manning Drive, a commencement arrangement staged to be waiting when the family pulls in. Franklin Street runs the retail and cafe spine along the campus edge, and the UNC Medical Center complex anchors the south side, feeding a steady stream of hospital work. Out from that center the map opens into planned, leafy pockets — Meadowmont and Southern Village with their walkable cores, the older Gimghoul and Westwood streets, Chapel Hill North's newer builds — and blends west into Carrboro with barely a line between them.
