Carrollton also skews toward long marriages, which changes what to send. The established streets of 75006 and 75007 — the older grid between Josey Lane and Interstate 35E, the Perry Road neighborhoods near the A.W. Perry Homestead Museum, the Furneaux Creek blocks, the cul-de-sacs around Josey Ranch Lake — hold a lot of couples who bought in the 1980s and 1990s and never left. Twenty-fifth, fortieth and fiftieth anniversaries are a real share of the volume here, and they behave differently from a third anniversary: they are frequently ordered by adult children who live in another state, they often land on a weekday morning rather than an evening, and the recipient is reliably home. For those, a low dense arrangement delivered before noon beats a tall statement piece delivered at dusk. The newer north end — 75010 along Hebron Parkway and Indian Creek, the Frankford and Plano Parkway edge, and the townhome and apartment clusters in 75287 off Frankford, Marsh and Midway — skews younger, and those orders come in for the second, third and fifth anniversary, usually same-day, usually from a phone, usually after lunch.
If the anniversary involves a hotel — and a surprising number here do, because a night away without leaving the metro is the standard DFW move — the concierge desks are all within reach of these shops. The InterContinental Dallas on Dallas Parkway in Addison is the nearest genuinely full-service option to Carrollton. The Westin Galleria Dallas, attached to the Galleria on Dallas Parkway, is minutes from both Beaumondeflora on Alpha Road and Petals Andstems on Montfort. North of the Turnpike, the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West on Legacy Drive sits beside Bluebonnet Floral Gifts, and the Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star covers the Frisco side. West, past the airport corridor, the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas and the Omni Las Colinas handle the Irving end, and the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine takes the weekend-getaway traffic. For a room drop, the rules are the same everywhere: give the reservation name exactly as it was booked, the check-in date, and a mobile number, and expect the arrangement to be held at the bell or concierge desk and taken up after check-in rather than staged in the room in advance. If the surprise depends on it being in the room, call the hotel yourself and ask; some will, most want a fee and a day's notice.
